The Provincial Education Secretary of the Central Province has issued a circular prohibiting teachers from conducting extra classes by charging money from the students who learn from them in the school.
The circular also states that there is no hindrance to conduct extra classes and teach students who are learning from them in the school without charging money with good intentions.
This circular has been issued on the instructions of the Central Province Governor Mr. Lalith Yu Gamage.
This step has been taken with the aim of establishing a fairer education system in the Central Province.
