    Rs. 3 billion worth of medicines to Sri Lanka

    The United Nations Development Program has donated to Sri Lanka a stock of medicines worth over three billion rupees (1.1 million US dollars).

    Ms. Azusa Kubota, the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program in Sri Lanka, handed over the stock of medicines to Mr. Keheliya Rambukwella today at the Ministry of Health in Colombo.

    The Ministry of Health also mentions that there are drugs related to heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, anesthetics and organ transplants among the stock of medicines.
