The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has also declared the 30th as a market holiday.
That is due to the declaration of that day (30) as a special bank holiday.
The government has declared a special bank holiday on June 30, 2023.
This has been announced in a special gazette announcement issued by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena as the Minister of State Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government.
The special bank holiday was declared under Section 10(1) of the Holidays Act No. 29 of 1971.
