A police special task force sergeant who had sexually assaulted a 19-year-old girl in a passenger bus that was running from Petah to Kottawa was caught by the conductor and the driver and handed over to the Kirulapana police.
This sergeant, who is working in the Maradana camp of the Special Task Force, molested the girl by sitting on the seat next to her and touching her private area.
The Kirulapana police say that the young woman recorded everything on her mobile phone and then shouted. The passengers together caught the suspect police officer and handed him over to the Kirulapana police station with the help of the conductor and the driver.
