A person who was staying near the fruit market on IDH Road, Kolonnawa, was shot by two people who came on a motorcycle and fled last night.
The person who was shot is receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the shooting took place because he, who is a narcotics dealer, sold drugs and did not pay the main trafficker.
