No more conductors in Highway buses from July

The Ministry of Transport has decided to run the buses of the Ceylon Transport Board (Sri Lanka) without conductors on all highways from July 1st.

Accordingly, tickets are issued only at the beginning of the journey for the passenger buses running on expressways.

It is stated that the Ministry of Transport is also working to introduce e-tickets for all local buses and trains in the next three months.

    1. This is not a good move, especially in Sri Lanka the driver would not be able to handle alone in an emergency. Also with so much corruption in SL its dangerous for the driver to be on the highway alone. Not a good decision at all.

    What do you think?
