Russia has already deployed its first tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
Speaking at Russia’s top economic forum in St Petersburg, Putin said Russian tactical nuclear warheads had already been delivered to close ally Belarus, but he stressed Russia had no need to use nuclear weapons.
“As you know, we are negotiating with our close friend, the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, to transfer some of these tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus,” Putin said.
“The first nuclear charges were delivered to the territory of Belarus. But only the first, We hope to complete this work by the end of the summer or the end of the year.” He also said.
The Russian President pointed out that this is the first time that nuclear weapons have been taken outside of Russian territory after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and it is a warning to the Western countries that are supplying weapons to Ukraine.
However, the United States has strongly blamed Russia in this regard. But the United States stated that it does not believe that Russia will use nuclear weapons.
