Russian forces have acquired German-made Leopard tanks and US-made Bradley armored vehicles amid fierce fighting on the Ukrainian front.
In a video released by the Russian Ministry of Defense to the media today, it has been revealed that weapons have been acquired from Western countries. In the fierce battles of the last few days, Russia was able to destroy a significant number of Germany’s Leopard tanks and United States’ Bradley armored vehicles used by Ukraine.
According to Reuters, they were able to confirm that the vehicles seen in the released video are Leopard tanks and Bradley armored vehicles. However, it was not possible to confirm the location of the vehicles, the news service added.
Armored vehicles and tanks were captured on the Zaporizhzhia front in southern Ukraine, one of the areas where Ukrainian forces are trying to retaliate, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Accompanying the videos, the ministry issued a brief statement calling the seized military equipment “our trophies”.
A few months ago, Germany gave Leopard tanks to Ukraine, saying that it would make it easier to counter the Russian forces. However, the fact that Russia has managed to destroy a large number of these vehicles now creates some problems regarding the promises given by the West.
