A police officer working in the Peliyagoda District Traffic Division has been arrested after stealing a wallet and a mobile phone from two officers working in the same Division.
It has been revealed that he has also taken an amount of Rs. 22,000 from the ATM card.
This police officer is a constable who has not yet joined the police service. It has been revealed that this officer, who is strongly addicted to the use of drug – ice, has been engaged in thefts to consume drugs.
