Badulla Provincial Hospital has been upgraded as a teaching hospital.
This hospital has been converted into a teaching hospital to provide clinical training to the students of the new Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sri Lanka, Uva Wellassa.
The Ministry of Health has also taken steps to develop the facilities of the Badulla Hospital as required by the new Faculty of Medicine of Uva Wellassa University.
