Ajith Rohana and Priyantha Weerasuriya raise voices against transfers

Yesterday, the police headquarters issued a transfer orders to 07 senior DIGs on the grounds of service requirements.

A heated situation has arisen in the police department regarding these transfers.

Senior DIG in charge of Southern Province Ajith Rohana and Senior DIG in charge of Central Province Priyantha Weerasuriya have already submitted written appeals to the National Police Commission against the transfers given to them.

Apart from that, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Ajith Rohana has also addressed a letter to the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Security and stated that he will not implement the transfer as it is illegal.
