    Fake 5,000 notes emerge from the toilet of a businessman’s house

    The Alavathugoda Police, who uncovered a racket of printing counterfeit currency in a photography parlour in Alavathugoda, arrested the owner of the photography parlour and a businessman who is said to be his friend, along with 43 counterfeit 5000 rupee notes.

    A team of Alavathugoda police officers arrested a 41-year-old businessman residing on Matale Road in Alavathugoda with a fake 5000 note. That was yesterday afternoon.

    Based on the information revealed during the questioning of this businessman, the police found 40 more fake notes of 5000 hidden in the toilet pit in the suspect’s garden.

    The police have also disclosed that a 36-year-old photo salon owner, a friend of this businessman, printed these notes. Then the police checked the photo gallery. There, 02 more fake notes of 5000 were found in possession of the photo gallery owner.

    During questioning about the smuggling of fake currency notes, it was revealed that they were printed by computers and printers in the photo hall. Accordingly, the police have taken the equipment into custody.
