An open letter from the President to the creditors of Sri Lanka

President Ranil Wickramasinghe has sent an open letter to the official bilateral creditors of Sri Lanka today.

In the open letter directed to Sri Lanka’s external creditors, in relation to obtaining the extended credit facility of the International Monetary Fund, the President has also recalled their strong commitment to resolve the country’s debt crisis and to maintain full transparency to restore Sri Lanka’s economy.

“I encourage you to maintain and even enlarge and strengthen official bilateral creditor coordination in the context of our forthcoming engagement.” The President said on his letter.
