Minister of Tourism and Lands, Mr. Harin Fernando, said that the statement he made in Berlin regarding the beautiful islands of the Maldives has been taken out of context and spread wrongly on social media.
In a tweet he posted, it is stated that Sri Lanka is working together with its neighbor regarding the tourism business and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
