The Professionals’ Trade Union Alliance is set to go on a nationwide strike tomorrow (Wednesday 15th).
It is against the oppressive tax policy implemented by the government.
Central Bank of Sri Lanka employees will also participate in this, says the central bank’s union federation.
Accordingly, they inform that the services provided to the public by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka’s Employees’ Provident Fund Department, currency counters and regional offices may be disrupted on that day.
