According to Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera, the Minister of Power and Energy, the date of weekly renewal of the National Fuel Permit’s fuel Quota will take place every Tuesday at midnight with effect from today (08).
Accordingly, all accounts have been renewed since this morning.
This decision has been taken to reduce the cost of distribution in the operation of Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminal Company during the weekend.
The minister also said that the fuel quota will remain unchanged.
