A group of passengers on a passenger bus caught the OIC of the Dodangoda Police who sexually assaulted a family health worker on the bus and handed him over to the Aluthgama Police Station.
A 25-year-old girl resident of Darga town, who is undergoing training at Katukurunda National Health Institute, has been sexually assaulted by the Police OIC. At that time, this young woman was traveling in the bus wearing the uniform of the Family Health Service.
She boarded an SLTB bus which was running towards Aluthgama from the Katukurunda bus stop to go to her home in Darga Town.
He was traveling in the bus dressed in civilian clothes in the seat behind this girl’s seat. The police officer sexually assaulted her by touching her from the back of the seat. She told the police that he had touched her chest area.
