The Cabinet has today approved a proposal presented by the President for some steps to be taken urgently to provide relief to the people.
Accordingly, the proposal presented by President Ranil Wickremesinghe to purchase essential medicines, buy paddy, remedy malnutrition, and issue money for outstanding gratuities to over 18,000 retired public sector employees from 2022 has been approved by the Cabinet today.
