Death toll from Turkey earthquake exceeds 11,000

It is reported that more than eleven thousand people have died in the severe earthquake that hit Turkey last Monday morning.

Turkey and Syria were heavily affected by this earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale. Many buildings in Turkey and Syria also collapsed due to large-scale earthquakes that occurred after the earthquake.

Because of this, a large number of people were trapped in the debris of the buildings, and although the rescue teams tried to rescue a large number of people, so far, more than nine thousand six hundred people have been found died trapped in the debris.

According to reports, more than eight thousand five hundred and seventy four people have died in Turkey and more than two thousand five hundred and thirty people have been found in Syria. However, foreign media reported that the death toll is likely to increase in the next few hours.

Although Turkey reported the highest number of casualties from the earthquake, the real humanitarian crisis has emerged in Syria. It is a very sad event that the people displaced by the war that lasted for more than a decade were affected by the earthquake.

A large number of Syrians are currently suffering from the severe winter weather, where some of them do not have the necessary clothing to keep their bodies warm, according to the report. The foreign media also pointed out that the earthquake that occurred in such a background caused more trouble for the Syrians.
