The jobs of 100,000 people are at risk due to the ban on the import of perfumes

The perfume importers say that because of the non-removal of the ban on the import of perfumes, around 100,000 people are facing the tragedy of losing their livelihood.

They say that due to the ban on imports for more than five months, the government has lost a lot of tax revenue, and a group of smugglers are bringing perfumes into the country illegally.

The importers also say that tourists are inconvenienced by not being able to buy imported and high-quality perfumes from the market, especially at a time when the tourism industry is interested in boosting.

They also point out that while importing perfumes, more money is paid in cargo than the value of the imported stock and due to the ban, the government has lost a lot of tax revenue for five months.

Importers also say they request the government to prioritise perfumes in the phased removal of the ban on imported goods.
