The Sri Lanka Air Force won the Gold Award in the Public Sector – Inter-Departmental Category at the National Efficiency Awards for the third time.
This year, Sri Lanka Air Force will go down in history as the government organization that won the 2020 National Productivity Gold Award three times in a row.
The Sri Lanka Air Force was previously awarded the Gold Award in 2015 and 2018.
The “National Productivity Awards” is organized by the National Productivity Secretariat (NPS) established under the Ministry of Labor and Foreign Employment.
The ceremony was held recently at Temple Trees under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.
This competition is organized with the aim of identifying organizations that have succeeded in the concepts of productivity, creating more effective and citizen-centric public services and increasing the overall productivity of the nation.
In order to win this Productivity Gold Award, the operations, engineering, training, research, development and welfare areas of the Sri Lanka Air Force were closely monitored by a team of experts from the National Productivity Secretariat, under the criteria of the National Productivity Secretariat.
The Air Force won this gold award due to maintaining the concept of productivity in those fields at a very high level.
On behalf of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, Executive Status Observer Air Commodore Muditha Mahawattage, and a group of Air Force members participated in this award ceremony.
The won productivity gold award was officially presented to the Chief of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, by Air Commodore Muditha Mahawattage, Executive Officer, at the Air Force Headquarters.
