A parasite to control ‘Sena Dalambuwa’

The Department of Agriculture says that a parasite has been identified to control the ‘Sena Dalambuwa’.

The department says that this parasite was identified after a three-year investigation.

The parasite that grows in the natural environment called “Telenomus remus” was identified as the result of a three-year investigation by the Department of Agriculture.

The Department of Agriculture says that this parasite destroys the eggs of ‘Sena Dalambuwa’, thereby affecting its spread.

The Ministry of Agriculture has also informed the farmers to refrain from using chemicals to control the damage by ‘Sena Dalambuwa’.

Mr. Anura Wijethunga, the technical director of the Ministry of Agriculture, says that currently, the ‘Sena Dalambuwa’ is found in 10-15% of maize cultivation.

Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture has announced that the cultivation should be carefully taken care of until the maize crop matures for about a month.
