The second term examination of the schools is being held these days and it is reported that the examination papers of the Colombo region have been released.
The Colombo Education Zone has given compact discs (CDs) containing the examination papers to the schools and the school principals have been informed to print them and conduct the examinations.
It is also reported that the respective schools have printed the question papers from convenient places and did not care about their confidentiality.
Several teachers also said that the science subject was held for grade 10 students of the second term examination and Colombo school students came to school with the science question paper and answers in hand.
The teachers also mentioned that such a situation has arisen because the Zonal Education Office did not take steps to print the question papers and distribute them confidentially.
In an inquiry made to the Western Provincial Education Director Mr. Srilal Nonis, he mentioned that an investigation report has been called on the matter.
