A strong earthquake of 6.8 units has occurred in the Indian Ocean.
The National Tsunami Early Warning Center informs that there is no tsunami risk to Sri Lanka from this earthquake that occurred near South Sumatra.
Thus, the center declares that the life of people in the seabed areas is safe.
And this announcement was issued in agreement with the national and international organizations for earthquake research, said the center.
