The Joint Development Officer’s Center requests the government to provide a special monthly allowance to public servants who are engaged in essential services.
Dhammika Munasinghe, Secretary of the Joint Development Officers’ Center said that the officers of certain services which have been made essential services by the government are currently on duty despite the risk of covid and they should have a special allowance for that.
Mr. Munasinghe said that the special allowance should be given to Economic Development Officers, Grama Niladharis, Assistant Divisional Secretaries, District Secretaries and other public servants engaged in essential duties.
