The Criminal Investigation Department has questioned and recorded a statement from Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thero about the relations and transactions with Thilini Priyamali, who has committed a massive financial fraud.
The Criminal Investigation Department disclosed that information about Thilini Priyamali’s relationship with Gnanasara Thero was revealed in several audio tapes from her mobile phone, as well as Thilini’s participation in the opening of the office on the 34th floor of the World Trade Center.
An Rs. 37,500,000 transaction related to a car belonging to Gnanasara Thero was also mentioned in a tape, so he was also questioned about that. It is mentioned in the audio that Thilini gave the money to Janaki Siriwardhana to save a car belonging to Gnanasara Thero.
