Minister of Power and Energy Dullas Alahapperuma has requested the public to tolerate power delays due to inclement weather and natural disasters.
The Minister has left a message on his Facebook page urging the power heroes to “think before blaming” in the face of such situations.
In this statement, which has been published with a photograph of an electrical worker trying to provide electricity in a flooded area, the Minister has pointed out that he or she had thought about supplying electricity before blaming it.
Numerous power outages have been reported across the country due to the inclement weather and CEB employees are working day and night to restore them.
