The Appropriation Bill or Budget for the year 2023 is to be presented (first time reading) to Parliament today (18).
Parliament will meet from today (18th) to 21st.
Each day 9.30 am-10.30 am is reserved for questions requiring oral answers.
Accordingly, Parliament is scheduled to meet today at 9.30 am and the debate on the second reading of the Petroleum Products (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Bill will be held from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm.
The Secretary General said that the debate will be held according to the resolution of the government’s adjournment from 5.00 pm to 5.30 pm.
On October 19, from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm, 6 bills presented by the Ministry of Justice are also scheduled to be debated.
Accordingly, the Poisons, Opium and Dangerous Drugs (Amendment), Notaries (Amendment), Powers of Attorney (Amendment), Registration of Documents (Amendment), Last Wills (Amendment) and Fraud Prevention (Amendment) Bills will be debated.
Then on that day, 5.00 pm – 5.30 pm time is reserved for questions during the adjournment of the assembly.
On October 20th and 21st from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm, the debate on the second reading of the 22nd Constitution Amendment Bill is scheduled to be held.
On the 20th, 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm time has been set aside for debating the resolution brought by the opposition at the time of adjournment.
Also, voting is scheduled to be held at the end of the debate on the second reading of the 22nd constitutional amendment bill, which will be held on the 21st until 5:00 pm.
