    Firearm used in Ahungalla shooting belongs to Army

    The Police Special Task Force has revealed that the T56 firearm that was used to shoot a person who was staying at the three-wheeler parking lot in Ahungalle on the 12th was an army weapon.

    Accordingly, the Special Task Force arrested a staff sergeant working in the Kilinochchi camp of the second commando regiment yesterday who was said to be given the firearm for that shooting.

    It has also been revealed that the T56 weapon used for shooting, bearing the number 2612651, belongs to that camp.
