One of the children of the family, who was thought to have been buried by a mound of earth falling on a house near the Koswatta junction on the Aguruwella Warakapola road, was able to save his life without facing danger today because he participated in a tuition class.
It has been reported that the child returned home in the afternoon and is in a neighbouring house due to the accident.
The father was able to survive the accident and he was sent to Warakapola Hospital for treatment.
Further operations are being conducted to find the mother and another child of that family.
For this, more than 75 soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army are currently engaged in the operation.
