A mound of earth collapsed on a two-storied house in the Tumbaliyadda area on Warakapola Aguruwella road this evening.
The police say that the accident occurred due to a landslide due to bad weather conditions with heavy rains.
Four people who were staying in the house at that time were trapped under the soil. It has been possible to save one of them. The Warakapola Police stated that the disaster teams are working hard together with the army to save the lives of the other three.
The police also say that the two-storey house has been submerged by the mound of earth.
