The government’s focus is on encouraging car manufacturers to produce electric vehicles in the country.
This has been discussed in a special meeting held recently with the Minister of Plantations and Industries on the premises of the Ministry of Industry, on behalf of the automobile manufacturers, various automobile and automobile accessory manufacturing companies, institutions, as well as representatives of various automobile associations.
In the vehicle assembly industry, there was also a discussion about the increase of tax concessions for the products that increase the percentage of value addition by using car components as local products.
Emphasis is also placed on how the exports of automobiles or automobile components assembled or manufactured in this country are added to the economic flow.
There, the problems and challenges faced by the automobile assembly industry have been extensively discussed.
The industrial policy created for all the industrial sectors of the country, including the automobile industry, should not change when the governments change, and for that, a sustainable national industrial policy should be created that is suitable for the new world by informing all the political parties of the country by taking the contribution of everyone in the respective fields.
The minister said that the work has already started and it is the government’s hope to populate it as soon as possible.
