The proposal for the Parliamentary Committee to be called the proposed National Assembly is scheduled to be debated in Parliament today (20).
The relevant debate will be held today from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm and approval is to be obtained.
The Chairmanship of the National Assembly is vested in the Speaker.
The committee consists of not more than 35 MPs representing the Parliament decided by the Prime Minister, the Leader of the House, the Leader of the Opposition, the Chief Organizer of the ruling party and the leaders of the political parties.
The National Assembly has proposed setting common priorities in the Parliament in relation to the formulation of short, medium and long-term national policies, and establishing agreements on short- and medium-term public minimum programs related to economic stabilization.
In the meantime, the Parliamentary Communications Department stated that due to the prevailing Covid situation and security reasons, measures have been taken to relax the restrictions on visiting the Parliament.
As a preliminary step, permission is to be given to the parties who request to visit parliaments including school students on days when there are no parliamentary meetings.
It has also been decided to relax the restrictions on visiting the Parliament from today.
