A police officer has been arrested in Panamure, who stole gold necklaces from the necks of women while travelling on a motorcycle.
It was during an investigation related to several gold necklace robberies that continued in the Panamure police domain.
The police constable attached to the Kalthota Police and working at the Kuragala checkpoint has been arrested accordingly. He is 32 years old.

Robbery of gold necklace and pendant worth Rs. 138,000 reported to Panamure Police Station on August 19, robbery of a gold necklace worth over Rs. 100,000 reported to Katuwana Police on August 24, robbery of gold necklace worth Rs. 200,000 reported to Panamure Police Station on September 08 and it has been revealed that this officer did it. The police have also found the motorcycle used for the robbery.
