Kalpitiya-Norochcholai police say that a junior technician who was working there has drowned in the sea after falling from the jetty of the Lak Vijaya thermal power plant in Norechcholai.
The accident happened on the 16th at around 12.00 noon.
A person named Pathiraja Mudiyanselage Harsha Hemantha Priyashad (32 years old) has drowned in the sea.
He is a resident of Pallama – Thorawatawana area.
The Navy has started an investigation to find the missing technician who drowned in the sea.
The police say that the Navy’s diving department’s support has also taken for that.
