According to the Foreign Employment Bureau, 208,772 Sri Lankans have left for foreign jobs so far this year alone.
According to its media statement, Deputy General Manager Mr. Gamini Senarath Yapa says that most of them are men and the number is over 126,000.
He also stated that 2858 Sri Lankans have left for work in South Korea.
He mentioned that 480 workers have already left for Korean jobs this month and another 130 will leave in the remaining time.
Moreover, by the end of the year, a total of 5,000 workers are expected to be sent to Korean jobs, the Deputy General Manager added.
