According to the employees of the railway yard, some people have stolen a stock of iron, aluminium and copper by loading them in a canter truck.
They also say that they are consignments of goods which were later found after being stolen by various people and which were piled up as case-related goods.
It is mentioned in the CCTV footage that a group of people came at night and loaded the goods into a canter vehicle and the theft was done with the knowledge of a sub-inspector of the Ratmalana Railway Security Service and the railway employees said that they have written a complaint to the General Superintendent of Railways.
They also say that they request the authorities to start an immediate investigation into the theft.
