Veteran actress Ms. Damita Abeyratne has been arrested by the officers of the Colombo North Crime Division tonight on suspicion of breaking into the Presidential Secretariat and obstructing the duties of the police officers.
According to the police, she was arrested in the Diyatha Uyana area in Battaramulla.
The police revealed information that they have taken her to Colombo and are taking a long statement.
