The United National Party’s 76th anniversary conference is scheduled to be held at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, Colombo on Tuesday (6th) under the chairmanship of President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
‘Ekwemu’ is the theme of this conference.
It is after 28 years that a party conference is held under a president of the United National Party.
The last time a party anniversary was held under a UNP president was in 1993 under former president D. B. Wijethunga.
Sources of the party also state that there will be changes in several key positions of the party after the anniversary conference.
