Mr. Harin Fernando says that he expects former Member of Parliament and veteran artist Mr. Ranjan Ramanayake, who was found guilty of contempt of court and is currently serving a prison sentence, to be released tomorrow (26) or next Monday (29).
He points out that many people have requested the President about it and Justice Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa has done the necessary paperwork with great effort.
The Minister said that he believes that the President will pardon Mr. Ranjan Ramanayake after considering all these facts and he will be released.
