Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that necessary steps have been taken to operate the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery at maximum capacity for 40 days.
The minister had mentioned that 100,000 metric tons of crude oil is currently being unloaded.
Another 120,000 metric tons is expected to arrive next week.
The minister had also mentioned that a stock of airplane fuel is scheduled to be landed tonight (20).
Maximum collection funds utilise for fuel imports.
