Tamil National Alliance, Members of Parliament Kumara Welgama, and Pujya Athuraliye Rathana Thero have met President Ranil Wickramasinghe today at the Presidential Office regarding the formation of an all-party government.
M. A. Sumanthiran, Dharmalingam Siddharthan, Selvam Adaikkalathan, S. Rasamanikkam, and the group of councilors from the Tamil National Alliance attended the discussion.
They presented their party’s views on an all-party government to the President at length.
The President also informed the group of MPs about the 22nd Constitutional Amendment which has been gazetted and the interim budget to be presented to Parliament in the future.
The New Lanka Freedom Party led by Mr. Kumara Welgama and the Vijaya Dharani National Assembly including Athuraliye Ratana Thero also met President Ranil Wickramasinghe today and discussed.
Special attention was also paid to the matters mentioned in the policy statement presented by the President to Parliament today.
Negotiations between the government and political parties to form an all-party government started yesterday and the second round of negotiations was held today.
Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena also attended the discussions.
