The police is seeking public assistance in arresting 08 other suspects who have not been identified so far in connection with the killing of a member of parliament, a police sergeant and a civilian who was assigned to protect him due to the violent and riotous incidents that took place in Nittambuwa city on May 9th (2022.05.09).
The Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Division is conducting the investigation.
Regarding this incident, 35 suspects have been arrested by reporting the facts to the Attanagalla Magistrate’s Court.
Most of the suspects were identified and arrested after examining CCTV footage.
