Mr. Saman Ekanayake has been appointed as the President’s Secretary.
It was after Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe was sworn in as President today.
Mr. Ekanayake is a special rank retired officer of Sri Lanka Administrative Service. From 2015 to 2019, Mr. Saman Ekanayake has worked as the secretary of Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe during his previous tenure as Prime Minister.
He has obtained his first degree from the University of Peradeniya and has obtained his postgraduate degree in Public Administration from Sri Jayawardenepura University.
In his administrative service spanning over 30 years, he has served in the Ministries of Youth Affairs, Sports, Development, Housing, Industries, Foreign Affairs and Finance as well as the Sri Lankan High Commissions in Malaysia and London.
