Mr. Kumara Rajapakse, President of the filling Station Owners Association, requests the people to register as soon as possible as fuel will be issued only to the National Fuel Pass according to the last number of the vehicle number from the 21st.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera, the Minister of Electricity and Energy, says that the stocks of fuel brought by 2 diesel ships are currently being unloaded.
Accordingly, the fuel stock will be distributed to fuel stations across the country by trains and fuel tankers from tomorrow (19), the minister said.
In the meantime, the Minister has stated that a ship with 35000 metric tons of petrol is undergoing quality inspection and that this stock of petrol will be released tomorrow.
