Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena says that it is expected that the resignation letter of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will be received today (13).
The speaker said that further action will be taken after receiving the letter.
President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa informed the Speaker on the 9th that he will resign from his post today (13).
The President is currently staying in the Maldives and he has not forwarded his resignation letter to Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
