    Transfers for 11 police chiefs

    10 Senior Superintendents of Police and one Superintendent of Police have been transferred by the IGP with immediate effect.

    Accordingly, Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of Kelaniya Division Mr. Roshan Dias as Chief of Police in charge of Colombo Central Division, Director of Sri Lanka Police College Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Ajith Hemasiri as Chief of Police in charge of Puttalam Division, and Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of Nikawaratiya Division Mr. A. M. U. Chandana in as the Chief of Police in charge of the Kurunegala division, Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of Colombo Central Division Mr. C. M. N. T. Kumara as the director of the Sri Lanka Police Training College, Commander of the Field Force Headquarters Mr. G. J. Nandana as the Chief of Police for Nikaveratiya Division, Senior Superintendent of Police for Tangalle Division Mr. P. M. R. Ambepitiya as Chief of Police for Colombo North Division, and Senior Superintendent of Police for Kurunegala Division Mr. A. J. Y. B. Krishantha as the Kelaniya divisional police chief have been transferred.

    In addition, Acting Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. J. P. S. Jayamaha from the position of Chief of Police of Puttalam Division to the position of Chief of Police of Nugegoda Division, Acting Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. C. D. Liyanage from the position of Chief of Police of Nugegoda Division to the position of Commander of Police Field Force Headquarters, Chief of Police for Colombo North Division Acting Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Amal Edirimanna as the Chief of Police for Tangalle division have also been transferred.

    Superintendent of Police M. M. Kumarasinghe has been transferred from Galle Division to Kalutara Crime Division Director.

    1. I am very disappointed that the Airforce went against the wishes of the people. They have to be held accountable.
