The activists are scheduled to go to the police headquarters this afternoon to inform the IGP to take a decision regarding the Senior DIG in charge of Western Provinces, Mr. Deshbandu Tennakon.
The actions of Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Deshbandu Tennakoon have been highly disliked by the protesters and they say that Deshbandu Tennakoon is trampling even the Inspector General of Police.
The main demand of the protesters has been to immediately implement the instructions given by the Attorney General regarding Mr. Deshabandu Tennakoon.
