The gazette notification regarding the increase in railway fares has been forwarded to the government press.
However, it is reported that permission to publish the gazette announcement has not been received so far.
Sources from the Ministry of Transport stated that the train fares are going to be increased from next Monday (11).
The report also suggested that the train fare should be increased by less than half price compared to the current bus fare.
