07 of the 09 protesters who were wanted by court order for protesting on several roads in Colombo Fort and in front of the Police Headquarters on the last 9th have surrendered at the Maradana Police Station.
Lahiru Chathuranga Weerasekera, Rathindu Senaratne alias Ratta, Jagath Madhuwarna, Dhammika Munasinghe, Eranga Gunasekera, actor Jehan Appuhami Saharatkarawwe and Jinaratana thero have surrendered to the Maradana Police.
Accordingly, only Wasantha Mudalige and Galwewa Siridhamma Thera are left to be arrested, said police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa.
Police say that the group will be produced in court.
